More Themed Hotel Rooms

Sometimes, hotels can provide excellent inspiration for home. If you remember, we had previously featured an interesting hotel having some bizarre themes. Here is something more for you. These shots are from Fox Hotel, Copenhagen. 21 international artists from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration turned Hotel Fox to a piece of art with unique individual themes for its 61 rooms.

Interiors of Armani Hotel Dubai, Burj Khalifa

Inside Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, lives a luxuriously new and often dark world called theArmani Hotel Dubai. Elegant and understated only begin to describe this moody 11 story hotel where the exclusive Club members share access to the Armani restaurants, Spa, lounges and a Nightclub. Luckily, everyone has equal rights to the hotel’s own Georgio Armani retail store – they wouldn’t want to deprive you from that! The residences were designed by Armani himself and the hotel architecture was designed byWilson Associates. A clever job was done of reflecting the Tower’s spiraling form, which explains the soft cut corners and oddly cool spaces in some parts…

This dark conference room’s ceiling is sky high which makes for better acoustics!

A bit too cold but definitely intriguing Spa…

This ambient modern corridor makes you feel like you’re about to board a UFO- ultra cool!

The bathroom is covered in bamboo marble tiles. Yep- they even had us fooled!

The bar/lounge’s massive windows were dressed in plenty of Armani Home shades for a textured effect.

The Georgio Armani retail store standing stoic with understated opulence inside the hotel.

With a view from this tower, the $2,400 per night for a studio is perfectly reasonable!

Indoor Gardens

For those living in apartments, sometimes indoor gardens may be the only source of greenery that they can hope to have. Though they would be short on space it doesn’t mean they cannot be beautiful. Take a look at this vertical garden in AstraZeneca’s office in Sweden designed by Michael Hellgren:

Hellgreen has more to show in his collection. He incorporates the vertical garden concept beautifully into a cafe in Lisbon:

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ljubljana, Slovenia designed by Sadar Vuga Architects also stretch the possibilities of indoor gardens:

Terrence Donnelly Center for Cellular and Biomolecular Research designed by architects Alliance and Behnisch Architekten also expores some fun way of bringing green to buildings.

And if you are really crammed for space to put in plants people like Judy Hoysak gives us some innovative ideas like the vege ‘table’ garden. ;)
